Good Riddance

It seems that Mike Leach has just the
perfect surname if you ask me. I find it
beyond despicable that he was trying to
take Texas Tech to court to overturn his
suspension by the school to keep him from
coaching their bowl game. I hope the next
school he coach's at, a player he suspends,
takes him to court as well, and believe me
he will get another job real soon, but for
day he got exactly what he deserved.

What an absolute useless display of making
an off season move just for the sake of
making making a move, but then again I expect
nothing less from my bungling NY Mets.
Just for the record: the Jason Bay signing
for this amount of money is a BIG MISTAKE.

Splatter

Even though I am completely against
what Tracy McGrady has done over the
his career, and the fact that his playoff
numbers are completely worthless, I will
say this. He is an offensive weapon that
can easily make a bad team better, even
if he wont make a good team a champion,
and since the NY Knicks are far from a
championship caliber team at this time, I
would not be against to the Knicks making a
trade for the guards services.
Keep in mind
that he is in the last year of his contract,
so it wont hurt the LeBron quest, and he fits
in perfect with a Mike D'Antoni high powered
offense, little defense type team. Gone are
the days at MSG where, the chants of DEFENSE
actually meant something. LET'S GO KNICKS !

A Little Loose Talk

In lieu of talking to you, I thought
the more personal touch of writing to
you would be a nice touch during this
festive holiday season. Enjoy

For starters, it doesn't look like the
Manny Pacquiao and Floyd Mayweather Jr.
aren in much of the holiday spirit.
As a matter of fact it seems to be
turning into a bit of a pissing contest
if you know what I mean.

With this scandal on the horizon, it's
fair to say that other colleges will soon
be knocking down Mike Leach's door to
offer him quite the contract any day now.

And Then there were NONE !

You would think that a guy that has won
two national championships at a major
educational institution would know how
to choose his words more carefully, or
perhaps think before he speaks, but hey
what do I know. I guess being a good
football coach doesn't really make you
smart for real, now does it?
Or is that an Urban myth?

News & Notes

I was really happy to see that Ndamukong Suh, the
DT from Nebraska was voted AP Player of the Year.
I just hope that his future isn't as bleak as some
of the others that have won that award. You can
certainly the case that only one winner on this
list
has seen true success in the NFL up to this point.

Chris Henry was laid to rest in New Orleans
today
, and though on any other occasion it would be
easy to poke fun at the sight of seeing Commissioner
Goodell embrace Chad Ocho Cinco, today we'll
refrain from such cheeseball antics, and pay our
respects to Chris, his family, and the Bengals.
May He Rest In Peace.

Interesting Giants Raiders stat that should be
disturbing if you're a NY Giants fan. Though
the Giants beat the raiders in their only
meeting this year, by a score of 44-7, a 37
point difference. The Giants(8-6) have
allowed 7 more points that the Raiders(5-9)
have on the season.
So if you removed that
blowout, that means that they have allowed
44 points points than Oakland. Which brings
to mind 3 things. 1) How much do the G-Men
miss Steve Spagnuolo? 2) How confident can
they truly feel heading into the playoffs?
3) Antonio Pierce should be careful what kind
of Karma he brings upon himself, and his
teammates, when he make statements like he
made after thrashing the Raiders back in October.

In case you interested Jordan Rodgers, the younger
brother of the Green Bay Packers quarterback Aaron
Rodgers has signed a letter of intent to play for
for Vanderbilt
in college. That is, just in case
you're interested.

Stone Cold Locks Week 15

My Thoughts On This

I hate to beat this to death but the
addition of Roy Halladay who hasn't
proven a thing in the post season for
Cliff Lee, who looked like Cool Hand
Luke vs. the Yankees in the World Series
just seems like a risky and sort of
dumb move. Especially when you know
what you got in Lee, and he wants to end
his career with you
, not to mention the
fact that he might be a tad cheaper to
sign to a long term deal. Don't get it !

I find it both interesting and puzzling
how quick Bill Belichick and Tom Brady
are to defend Randy Moss, when you
consider that with Randy they don't have a
single Super Bowl Victory and without
him they have THREE. And stop F*%king
telling me that he is a first ballot Hall
of Famer, when he often decides which plays
to take off, and when to play hard. He has
yet to garnish any hardware representing a
Super Bowl victory, so stop F*%king blaming
the Raiders & Vikings for him not having one.
If he was truly a leader and good example
he would have made it a priority to lead
and forced his will on it, instead of trying
to jump om the success of a good team and call
it his !

Monday Monday

I was a little late with the Stone
Cold Locks this, so instead of skipping
them I thought I would just use the ones
I make on the Sports Round Table.
Last week I went 3-0 and the record is now
17-4 the picks from the show are as follows.
Ravens---Navy---Titans. Sorry on the show
we use ONE college pick, that's why the
Navy pick. Anyway here are a couple of things
I found interesting in the news today.

Watch maker Tag Heuer decided to keep Tiger
Woods as their spokesman. It may be none
of our business what Tiger does
in his
private life, but it does say something
about Tag Heuer. Just what is up to you.

The San Diego Chargers are obviously not
interested in winning any Super Bowls if
they are this easily impressed.

So I guess this guy shutting down

this guy seems to have found his
own God as he has completely turned
his entire career and image in
just one short year.

This sounds the perfect move if
it's true, especially if Brady

Stone Cold Lock Express

Apparently last week I did not keep on
rolling, as KC derailed my steamroller,
but a loss is a loss, and now I am 11-4
but would still pick the Steelers all
over again if I had to do. I'm looking
for another 3-0 week. So I will try to
put the pedal to the metal all over again.
Remember, "no such thing as a too easy pick"
KC proved that last week. So here we go again.

voice has left me, I will leave
you this to chew on until I return.

Here is a perfect example of how some
of us need more that 21 years of
maturity for our brains to fully
develop. They definitely need to make
sure this guy knows that WWE is not real.
And anyway what's up with Steelers fans
this year? First they get poisoned by
a disgruntled Bears fan and then kick
a dog when he's down, literally ? !

OK so who's the MORON that voted for
Miguel Cabrera? C'mon, Man up !

Congratulations to REAL Salt Lake of

Steamrolling With The NFL Picks

Well last week I kept on rolling, even
with a few close results, but a win is
a win, and now I am 9-3 and a much more
true "Stone Cold Lock" predictor after
another 3-0 week. So I will continue
keep the pedal to the metal with the
"no such thing as a too easy pick"
attitude. Remember it's a "LOCK" because
it's supposed win, so here we go again.

Quick Hits

Just a thought or two until the next show.

It's hard to believe that their is a quarterback
with a worse passer rating than Jamarcus Russell,
but their is and that quarterback is Jake Delhomme.
He has committed 15 turnovers and thrown only four
touchdowns. His passer rating of 56.5 ranks 32nd
in the league. Yet Coach John Fox says,"I still
believe Jake is our best quarterback".
Who the heck is he kidding ! ? !

Now this is a rhetorical question, but is this
guy a moron or what? Joe Paterno MUST be a
genius, because we know he's a legend, and it's
hard to believe he never had a hard time with
this LJ, who prior to conception might have done
the world a favor by being a BJ. Here's just a
small piece of his retarded thought pattern on his
Twitter account after yesterdays loss to San Diego.

"My father played for the coach from "remember the
titans"," says the tweet. "Our coach played golf.
My father played for redskins briefly. Our coach.
Nuthn."

And this was reported by Profootballtalk on NBC
Sports: NFL spokesman Greg Aiello revealed
Monday that the league is investigating Larry
Johnson's recent tirade on Twitter.
L.J.'s use of the word "fag" in the direction of
fans and reporters could fall under the Personal
Conduct Policy. Specifically, the policy is aimed
at "conduct that undermines or puts at risk the
integrity and reputation of the NFL, NFL clubs,
or NFL players." Johnson's history of NFL violations
certainly won't help him. We still anticipate the
team disciplining him first.

In the words of one of the worlds great thinkers,
Bugs Bunny: "Sheesh, What a Maroon"

While Your Waiting

for the next episode of Mad Stork Sports,
I thought you might find these stories
interesting.

I told you this the last time I spoke to
you, where there's smoke there's fire.
In this case it's Tony Bernazard that's
FIRED. Now you can smile Willie, I did.

In case you were wondering about the
relationship between Contador and Armstrong
well wonder no more, THEY HATE EACH OTHER

Though I'm sure you didn't wonder at all about
how Hank Aaron felt about steroids users, here's
a little more in case you weren't convinced.

Sometimes out of bad news comes some OK news.
First the BAD news, In case you missed it,
Ferrari driver Felipe Massa was involved in
a terrible accident this past weekend, but
now instead of critical, he's better, and things
look like he should be ok, so there's a little
of the OK news. The second piece of OK news
is for those fans that miss Michael Schumacher
behind the wheel. This piece says that he may
fill in for a few races and after this terrible
season for Ferrari, it would certainly be a treat.

Tidbits For You

Chris Carpenter threw a complete game and
continues to roll for the St. Louis Cardinals.
Randy Johnson wins his 300th, and even though
I've been giving him a hard time about the fact
that he's probably tarnishing his rep and
should have hung it up a year or two ago, he's
still one of the great pitchers of our time.
Mets lose Jose Reyes after he re-injures his
leg in a Florida rehab game, they get swept by
the Pirates, and they are scaring absolutely no
one but their fans.
Pittsburgh Pirates players are PISSED that the
team traded Nate McClouth, and I don't blame them
one bit. That's no way to show you want to win
KC Royals have lost 7 Straight and 18 of 24,
if Zach Greinke 8-1 1.10 ERA can't win tonight
this season will get worse in a hurry,
especially since they had a chance to turn it
around yesterday and they blew a Gil Meche lead,
after he went 6 innings and allowed only one run.
Texas Rangers failed part one of the road trip
when they lost 2 of 3 to the Yankees, next up are
the Bosox, let's see if they do better in part two.
The Cleveland Indians are 23-33,
and one of the few bright spots is, Carl Pavano???
Well he's 5-4 with a 5.29 Era What's wrong with
that picture you might ask?? Well last years AL
Cy Young Winner Cliff Lee has an Era that is half
as much and is only 3-6. Go Figure
The LA Dodgers have done well with Eric Milton,
they basically got him for nothing after he
missed all of 2008 but is 2-0 with a 3.14 ERA
this year for them and a proven starter with a
career record of 89-84

NBA Playoffs: Here's what I saw, did you see the same?
Orlando had horrible shot selection, the Lakers showed
much more energy, and Stan Van Gundy looked almost
lost. Before I say anymore let's see what game 2 brings.

NHL Playoffs: Yup, I was DEAD wrong, the Pens are
still alive, BUT the Wings will win this series!
I think.

NY Newsday reported that former NY Giants head coach
and current Las Vegas/Los Angeles UFL) franchise
head coach Jim Fassel said he'd sign Michael Vick.
"People make mistakes," Fassel said. "Everybody
gets a chance to re-prove themselves. The UFL may
be very good for him. Maybe he just needs to go
to a league and just start playing rather than
joining a team and be a backup."

OUR INVITATION TO THE UFL TO COME ON WITH US HAS
BEEN ONCE AGAIN EXTENDED. IT'S NOW UP TO THEM

Indianapolis Colts like the Houston Texans plan
to take advantage of a new and add an ad to
practice jerseys. I knew that was coming.

Yahoo sues NFL Players Association
, and I don't
blame them one bit. Here's the story.

Progam Alert & More ! SELENA ROBERTS

Selena Roberts stops by THIS WEEK and
gives Mad Stork Sports the A-Rod book scoop.

Tune in, hear it all right hear ! Many things
you are sure to not have heard before !

Now Back to our regularly scheduled SPORTS

-----BRING STORIES I MISS TO MY ATTENTION-----

Blue Jays took 2 of 3 from the Red Sox to exact at
least a mild bit of revenge on Boston for setting
Toronto into a tailspin and the beginning of a
nine game losing streak. Cincinnati was swept by
Milwaukee in what was supposed to be a bit of a battle
for 1st, guess it wasn't too evenly matched after all.
Brian Bannister 4-2 3.64 has allowed 5 or more earned
runs in 6 or less inning in 2 of his last 3 starts,
repeating his cycle of 2008 with a very good start
followed by a dramatic downward spin.

Zach Grienke Loses, Oh My

On Yahoo's INJURIES & TRANSACTIONS Report:
5/28 Khalil Greene STL SS Social anxiety disorder
5/30 Joey Votto CIN 1B Stress-related issues

NBA Playoffs: Well I guess I no game 7 in LA, MY BAD.
Orlando, Cleveland May have been a surprising result
for some, but why all this Le Bron hating???? So he
didn't want to talk after the game, SO WHAT !
I wouldn't wanna talk either, GET OVER IT !

NHL Stanley Cup Finals: Won't last long, not at all.

The AP reported that Brett Hull and Les Jackson are
out as co-general managers of the Dallas Stars, and
in their place is Joe Nieuwendyk another former star
player. Who thought Co-GM's was a good Idea ???

My Fingers Do The Talking

Indians sweep Rays with 2-1 victory yesterday
If that isn't bad enough The Rays have lost 5
in a row overall & 17 straight in Cleveland,
and Monday they BLEW a 10-0 lead !

Luke Scott homers twice, leads Orioles over the
Tigers 5-1, Nolan Reimold homers for the second
straight game and the Orioles have won 4 Straight.

Pitchers and Match ups to watch tonight: Detroit
Tigers Dontrelle Willis, Andy Petitte 4-1 4.30Era
at Cleveland vs Cliff Lee 2-5 3.04Era, Toronto

Toronto's Blue Jays are now losers of 9 Straight
a losing streak that started with Boston continued
with the interleauge play against Atlanta and then
against Baltimore. Tonight they are at home against
those same Red Sox and Tim Wakefield 6-2, 3.99Era,
maybe they can get some payback, but I doubt it.

Surprising Cincinnati is at the Brewers in a battle
for 1st in the NL central?? Did I just write that??
Chicago White Sox at KC, Brian Bannister 4-1 2.79Era
starts as both teams try to get back in it.

The Arizona Republic reports that "Word is" Anquan
Boldin is set to hire Tom Condon as his new agent.

NBA Playoffs Orlando Cleveland is 3-2 and as far as
I'm concerned, Cleveland almost blew it last night,
Especially after jumping out to such a huge lead.
Orlando can only blow this series. Tonight the Lakers
will try and close out in Denver, I don't think they
will though, see you in Game 7!

NHL Playoffs Red Wings-Penguins in Finals SATURDAY
SHAME ON ME for listening to that
Penguins fan who said that the Penguins beat the
Red Wings the last time they met, NEVER HAPPENED,
AND this is a rematch from last year, so Wings are
the defending CHAMPS

Are you surprised that Memphis is being investigated
by the NCAA? I'm not, but John Calipari supposedly
is NOT a target of this probe.

STUPID STUPID STUPID
A Nigerian Manchester United fan kills rivals
by running them over after the match, what an
idiot. Read The story
