Stone Cold NFL Locks Week 7
A 12-6 is far from the "can't miss" that Stone Cold Locks
are supposed to be, so I will hunker down and try to get
back on track with my first 3-0 week, after another 2-1
last week. Let's see if I can shake this bad luck, here goes:
1. New England - The Jets have nothing but a decent defense
and too many holes on offense. Should be a one sided affair.
2. Buffalo - Yeah, I said it, now all I have to do is cross my
fingers and hope that Ryan Fitzpatrick doesn't throw 5 picks.
3. Chicago - Lions would have lost last week if they were
facing a competent opponent. This week I'll pretend that
the Bears are just that, competent.

Texas Rangers Outfielders Killing Championship Hopes
AP Photo
It surprises me that so little was made over
the fact that Nelson Cruz misplayed what should
have been the final out in the ninth inning
today, and then tonight the Texas outfield once
again fails to cut off the game tying single in
the bottom of the first. Daniel Murphy has got
to cut that ball off in the gap. Right now this
could be a tie game instead of Texas trailing by
a run. Every run counts and the Cards just won't
go away, making Tony LaRussa look like the genius
he isn't. You hate to criticize a guy like Cruz
who has had such a tremendous post season at the
plate, but he could very well be the reason they
lose this series. The Rangers will look back at
this with many regrets if this series gets away
from them. Can you say Buffalo Bills?

AFC East: Will There Be Any Surprises?
The next to last of these divisions picks
takes me to the division that could very
well produce the AFC representative to
the Super Bowl. It isn't hard to see
why, but the who is a little more tricky.
Here's how I see it:
1. Patriots (Nice Additions, Solid Foundation)
2. Jets (Can Still Play D, But Will Need A New OC)
3. Bills (Improved Yes, How Much? Not Enough)
4. Dolphins (Sparano Can't Win Here Anymore)
