Stone Cold NFL Locks Week 5

http://static.nfl.com/static/content/catch_all/nfl_image/al_davis_obit_040711_CP.jpg
Rest In Peace Al - 7/4/29 - 10-8-11

Last week much more like what a "LOCK" pick should
be, and a 3-0 weekend was a nice band aid to what has
ailed me so far.  My mark is still only 8-4 and I really
need to build on it to ensure that I don't go over my loss
total from last year of nine.  This week I will try and copy
last week with another perfect slate, here goes:

1. Giants - It's Cleveland, what more do I need to say?

2. Houston - Against the Jets it should be like taking candy
from an infant.

3. Green Bay - The only "shaky" pick here, but I can't see
Rodgers getting outplayed by Luck.  Just don't see it.

Stone Cold NFL Locks Week 4

Last week I was beyond stunned, it was clearly an
unmitigated disaster.  In all my years of Stone Cold
Locks here on MSS I have never gone 0-3, at least
not that I can or want to remember.  My mark is
5-4 and can't ever remember being this close to .500.
This week I will try reverse the 0-3 from last week,
here goes:

1. Arizona - I'm buying in, they may be for real.

2. Houston - Not really a fan, but Oh well.

3. Green Bay -Along with the Saints they are 1-5,
combined, WOW!, bet you didn't see that coming.

Stone Cold NFL Locks Week 1

I'm back for another season of football picks
and commentary. Last year I ended the season
with a record of 51-9 and a successful end with
my pick of the Giants as Superbowl Champions.
The .850 winning percentage is an improvement
over the previous seasons mark of .824, so this
season I will try and keep that upward trend by
improving on it once again. Here goes week 1:

1. Houston - Miami still needs to get feet wet.

2. New England - A repeat appearance in the
Super Bowl is in the cards for Brady & Co.

3. Philadelphia - The Browns honor the late Art
Modell in the only way they know how.

NFL Stone Cold Locks Week 9

With the record at 21-3, it looks like last years
mark should be surpassed, but I want 3-0 every
week the rest of the way. Last week I went 3-0,
so that's a good start, now I need to maintain
great momentum like a streaking playoff team in
December and January. This weeks picks are ready
to be the momentum I need, let's see:

1. Atlanta - If they lose this, label them pretenders?
2. Houston - Same goes for the perenial under achievers
3. San Francisco - Wasn't sure, but the Skins are dying

Thank You Al Davis !

NFL Stone Cold Locks 2011 Week 1

ANDY LYONS/Getty Images

Just so we are clear, I'm picking easy ones,
that's why they are supposed to be "STONE
COLD LOCKS" and yet inevitably some lose,
which just goes to show, there are no easy
ones, and today that may be truer than ever.
Enjoy............

1. Tennessee Titans(I'm Desperate)
2. New England Patriots(Might Be The Only LOCK)
3. Houston Texans(I'm Really Desperate)

AFC South: Setup Just Right For Schaub

With Manning OUT, and Garrard gone, it's
fair to say that it would take a bit of an
upset for the Titans to win this division
this year. So this is how I believe it's
will look in the end:

1. Houston Texans (Pretty Much By Default)
2. Tennessee Titans (Too Much Chris Johnson)
3. Indianapolis Colts (Still Got Talent)
4. Jacksonville Jaguars (What's Next For Del Rio?)
