Miami 2.1

Chris Bosh is starting to look like the little kid
brother Le Bron and D-Wade had to take with them to
the school yard if their Mom was going to let them
go out and play at all. His woeful performance last
night of 1 for 18 versus the one of the few elite
teams in the East, and more of an up and coming one
in the Chicago Bulls makes calling that trio in Miami
"The BIG 3" an insult to Boston's "Big 3" of Garnett,
Pierce, and Allen. By the way Miami lost again to
another "winning" team to add to their dismal record
of losing to good teams and beating up lesser teams.
Can you see that parade in downtown Miami now?

Mark San-chise Or Dumb-chise ?

Full disclosure will tell you that I am not a
Mark Sanchez fan, as a matter a fact I have been
predicting his demise since the moment the NY
Jets traded up to get him in the 2008 NFL draft,
but that is not why I am writing this.

A little over a week ago Deadspin reported a
story about Sanchez and his hooking up with 17
year old girl a few weeks back, and all the little
pieces of the story since attached to it.
The details are not something I'm really all that
interested in, maybe you are. What does strike a
cord with me is that even though I root against him
from time to time, I kinda like the kid. He's
comes across as a bright guy, likable and smart, but
this latest story kind of leaves you scratching your
head. You see the synopsis of the story is this:
He meets a girl, she's says she's 17, he says well
I guess I'll have to wait until you turn 18 because
he thinks that 18 and not 16 is legal in NY. She,
the girl tells him no, I'm legal now it's 16 in NY,
he, Mark Sanchez is 23 at the time, so this all seems
ok, except it really isn't. You see, 23 year olds
shouldn't be with 17 year olds, but they sometimes
are and it turns out just fine, and the intentions
are good, BUT you are the starting Quarterback of the
NY Jets, yes that's right in the media mecca of the
world. What the F%&K are you thinking? Are you
serious? There are a tremendous amount of women
ranging from 22 - 82 who are willing to drop to their
unabashed knees and service within a seconds notice
at just about any hour of the day, and you choose a
17 year old girl?, who no matter how hot she is, is
more than certainly going to give you a bad name in
the press just because they are going to label you
with making a bad choice! As Pro Football Talk
pointed out in one of their stories, no laws were
broken, but it will raise eyebrows, and that to me
has to have Jets fans wondering if this is the guy
who through his decision making is the one that's
going to lead the J-E-T-S to the promised land.

Rex Ryan has already guaranteed that the Jets will
win the Super Bowl next year, and I believe that
the Jets have the curse of the Schottenheimer to
deal with as well, so just add this to the things
that stand in the way of their second Lombardi
trophy and all you have is people around the league
saying is: "Typical Jets".

Silly QB, Tricks Are For Kids

You may find the tricks in this piece of
UConn's third string QB impressive, but in
this story by Rivals.com's Matt Hinton what
is not mentioned is how many takes or attempts
were involved in the making of this highlight
reel. I hope you enjoy this, but if the kid was
that good, he's be starting somewhere in the NFL
real real soon, and not be the 3rd string at UConn.

Ranting With Rizzo "Super Edition" Replay

Catch my prediction, assessment and analysis
of the Packers and Steelers before their BIG
game, not to mention a whole lot of rambling
as well. Enjoy !

Stone Cold "Super" Lock

82% is a nice number for correct number of
winning picks, 41-9 to be exact. I just
don't consider it good enough for them to
be called locks, but c'est la vie.
I do wish however to end my season with a
bang, and that is why I'm going with the
Green Bay Packers to end the 2010 NFL season
as Champions, and though I am not trying to
create a built in excuse should they lose,
I will say that a Steeler victory would not
come as a shock. The pick however is PACKERS !

Enjoy the Game !

Super Bowl Boxes Odds Guide

So I got lucky and ran across a guide that
gives you an idea of what the chances are
that you might win a prize if you played one
of those office/bar pools where you randomly
get assigned a number after you purchase it.
Some of you may not know what I mean, but
if you "bought" a Super Bowl box, then you
know what I mean. A guy by the name of
Casey Frushour did all the legwork and below
is an example of what you might expect on
his blog. He does quite a job on breaking
it down for you, and though this definitely
won't guarantee success or failure, it just
might give you an idea on whether you can
at least consider counting your EGG$ before
they are hatched or not. Enjoy & Thanks Casey!

Puts A Smile On Your Face

Usually athletes make you scratch your head and
have you ask yourself what the hell were they
thinking, but every once in a while there is that
rare occasion when they put a smile on your face.
Kevin Durant's comments regarding Chris Bosh
are that rare such time where you find yourself
applauding the young man, not only for being
such a great example so far into his young career,
but also for knowing when and how to open his mouth.
"There's a lot of fake tough guys in this league
and he's one of them," Durant added.
Bravo !
