No More St. John's on St. Joseph's

Today is traditionally the Italian feast of St Joseph,
or San Giuseppe to people in the know, and it also
happens to be the day or the last day rather for
St' John's head basketball coach Norm Roberts as
the teams coach. It is worth noting that he did leave
the team better than he found it, yet he was never
able to get over the hump if you will, but I will
say this; because of him this team will see the
tournament again, too bad he couldn't be part
of it. I guess after six years though you really
can't blame the school for wanting to try something
else and see how that goes

It's really unfortunate when some of the good
ole boy rules of yesteryear happen to get in
the way of teaching the kids you coach the
difference between standing by someone and
standing by someone THE WRONG WAY !
Because no matter how you phrase it, theft is
never a good thing, and neither is hiding
behind lies and shadows.

Drugs Are Always A "Dead End"

Politicians usually have a way of making
things worse, but every once in a while
they get it right. In this case I hope
that the Mark McGwire Highway truly hits
the dead end the we want our kids to know
that drugs will lead you into.
